“Lily Patchwork”

“Lily Patchwork” 9″ x 12″ Oil on paper – $375

still

in my being
at the windowpane

skies shift
the lattice weave

wonderous
greys crying

nurturing
desperate call

blooms
sew in colors

liberated of time

it’s between breaths
the yellow strokes begin

dancing

  1. Curious minds ….. Was that cross-hatched fence in the background or did you put that in off the top of your head? I looked at this painting a long time just mesmerized. I’m missing flowers already and Winter isn’t even here yet, Cathy.

  2. Hi Amy! That’s a lattice fence on a shed I have, so the inspiration was from that. I hear you with missing flowers! I just got a glimpse this morning on a walk through my town of the rich red leaves on a couple of trees. I don’t know what kind of tree but they were pretty and stood out. I felt inspired seeing your fall photos in terms of what is still heading my way in NJ.
