“On the Vine” is a keepsake painting, capturing the beauty of three red tomatoes freshly picked from my neighbor’s garden. I created it in my kitchen, where the light is uniquely beautiful. The work reflects the vibrancy of the fruit. It also shows their connection to one another through the imperfect winding of the vine. The angular background shapes add a contemporary touch. They offer contrast to the robust, round forms of the tomatoes. These shapes also deepen the visual story.

Love love love the simple lines, the colors and the impact the tomatoes have, being in the center of it all. For reasons I cannot explain, this painting gives me hope. Thank you!
Thank you Amy! I’m so happy you experience it that way. We have to keep the hope!
