Playground of Color is a quiet celebration of everyday beauty—a layered meditation on the interplay of light, pattern, and the intimate textures of lived-in spaces. This original oil painting brings together vintage and contemporary elements, creating a harmonious rhythm of bright, clear colors and geometric shapes punctuated by subtle floral hints.

Inspired by the stained-glass effect, strong lines trace the silhouettes of objects and their cast shadows, which take on a life of their own within the composition. The luminous palette of whites, creams, and soft blues forms a serene foundation for vibrant bursts of orange, yellow, and red.

In this work, I sought to honor the heart of each object and the poetry found in their relationships—including the shadows they cast—reflecting the layered richness of a familiar interior moment caught in time.
