A vibrant bouquet of blue hydrangeas takes center stage in this intimate still life, arranged in a boldly patterned Fioriware ceramic vase. I found the vase one summer in a small Maine shop, instantly drawn to its deep magenta color and loose, expressive floral motif. It’s been with me ever since—a favorite vessel that brings a sense of warmth and story to my studio.
The patterned stripes beneath the vase add rhythm and contrast, grounding the composition in color and form. Part of my Sunlit Interiors series, this painting reflects the quiet joy of everyday beauty—sunlight across a table, flowers in bloom, and cherished objects that carry memory and meaning.
