Above you can see the set-up I was working from. The green vase was taller than what I ended up visualizing in the painting. Sometimes when there is tall vertical piece in an arrangement find it can leave too much open space. I experimented! By cropping the vase the connection of the flowers and other objects was brought into greater unity.
