There’s something richly satisfying about revisiting a moment in time through the language of paint. Variegated Edibles emerged from a simple, abundant arrangement—gathered produce nestled around a woven basket. The textures and colors were irresistible: the glow of peppers and the unexpected twist of form in vegetables. The dark purple eggplant and clear turquoise blue in the glass plate. This piece captures not only the bounty of the season but also the rhythm of observation that painting invites.
This story, is one of celebration and festivity. As told through the weave and color of the objects. Stories can vary by viewer of the artwork. Just as a gathering of friends for a meal can reveal an abundance of perspectives.
