“Bottled Moments” Oil Painting | Contemporary Artwork

“Bottled Moments” 10″ x 8″ – Oil on canvas – NFS

Painting has always been a way of expressing myself creatively, a place where I feel truly at home—a safe haven. From the beginning of my journey, I’ve been drawn to subjects that carry a sense of tradition, and my approach to painting was grounded in traditional methods. This foundation was part of my education and training, which I embraced fully.

Today, I still hold that tradition close and deeply value the basics I learned over the years—understanding value, shape, form, and color. These fundamentals, which began with the practice of drawing, have remained essential to my process. It wasn’t until I felt reasonably comfortable with these skills that I began to feel a pull towards exploration—an urge to discover my unique voice through paint. This shift happened later in life and has involved a lot of practice, with plenty of mistakes along the way.

This painting, like all of my work, is rooted in those foundational principles. Much like a vintage bottle, it provides a base from which I can expand. “Bottled Moments” reflects this journey—capturing the essence of tradition while exploring the delicate beauty of transparency and color. The fragility of glass, which mirrors the fragile nature of life, becomes a poignant reminder of how easily both can be shaped or shattered, depending on how light—or life—touches them.

Styling Tips for “Bottled Moments”

Minimalist Charm: Pair the painting with a sleek black or white frame. Display the painting on a light-colored wall with a single glass vase or bottle nearby to echo its clean, modern feel.

Vintage Vibes: Pair the artwork with vintage glass jars or bottles on a shelf, tying together its reflective and textured elements.

Dining Room Accent: Position it above a sideboard or console with a bowl of fruit or fresh herbs for a cozy, inviting look.

Gallery Wall Favorite: Incorporate it into a gallery wall for a pop of color and a modern touch.
