For those of you who love a little nostalgia this takes me back to what feels like the 1950’s.
Recently, I was plein-air painting in the historic city of Bordentown, NJ. It’s a charming, artsy community with a lot of history. On that day I painted another vista but enjoyed taking some photos of the surrounding area and this was one of the scenes I really treasured because it seemed somewhat iconic.
I enjoyed the adventure of painting this landscape, even in my studio. In some ways it’s like I get to do a little time traveling through the canvas. I will be entering this into the “Visions of Bordentown” online show that begins in November along with the plein-air landscape. If you are interested in the painting please contact me and I can give you more information.
Here is the photo of the actual location.

This painting was created on a gallery wrapped canvas in oils and is a signed original. If you have any questions or wish to purchase this painting, contact me at cmartzloffart@gmail.com.
