This is chronological representation of some of my figure drawing and painting from live models, with the exception of two paintings.  “Sisters” and “My Matisse”.

The most recent drawings represent my introduction to working with colored pencil on dark paper. Inspired by my drawing instructor who suggested I try using color on dark paper and showed me an article on the artist Fred Hatt.   I resonated right away with his use of color and the freedom that seemed to be present in his figure work. I feel like I get to “scribble” and use tons of color while working toward molding form.  So much fun!
