On a recent afternoon I was working in my kitchen and this yellow pepper seemed to attract attention. (Sometimes inspiration happens that way for me.) As it was I happened to be going through feeling a bit uninspired so this was a welcome unexpected moment.
Within the next day I embarked on painting this yellow pepper and instead of setting something up in my studio, I brought my painting gear into my kitchen. I had an apple and a lime available to add to the intimate little gathering and painted away.
One of the things I love about painting small paintings is that they tend to be loose and textural. The brushes are bigger in relation to the small canvas and have an impact on the interpretation.
I hope you enjoy this little rendering!
