“The Garage In Situ II”

“The Garage In Situ II” 18″ x 14″ Oil on canvas

winter spaces
stacked
but where do i sit
she wonders

cantilevered shadows
inhibiting view
vacant garage equals
cold opening
outside landscapes wait

aggregate memories
amorphous ground
mottled green mass

platform and easel
staging the scene
discomfort awaits pausing

lattice remnants
gardens past
abandoned hearts exposed

canvas seeds
taste mustard yellow
is that all it takes
the fertilizer for spring

well worn and palette
oil stained garage
sheltering moments
this empty space
becomes whole
