winter spaces
stacked
but where
she wonders
cantilevered shadows
inhibiting view
vacant garage equals
cold opening
outside landscapes wait
aggregate memories
amorphous ground
mottled green mass
platform and easel
staging the scene
discomfort awaits pausing
lattice remnants
gardens past
abandoned hearts exposed
canvas seeds
taste mustard yellow
is that all it takes
the fertilizer for spring
well worn and palette
oil stained
sheltered moments
this empty space
becomes whole

I am continually amazed how much you have grown in your talent, Cathy. You take an ordinary scene and turn it into art. Amazing! Between your painting which is incredible and your words, you shine! BRAVA!!!! xo
Thank you Amy! I have a lot of experience taking things that otherwise go unnoticed or are in disrepair and turning them into something special.
