“A Zest for Life”

“A Zest for Life” 11″ x 14″ Oil on canvas – $500

clandestine
paint
wet brushes seek

truth

citrus
bitter tongue
lemonade
sweet flowers glow

robust
optimism why

fear

flecked light
angels glow

on canvas
taught threads
stream stories
no one knows

until again
grace visits
time illusions
move slow

  1. “Why fear” caught my eye, Catherine, and yes I so agree with you. Your words in this poem are a lesson in of themselves pointing how to live our lives, especially now. Love the spangles of different colored light both in the countertop and flowers and I also really loved the design on the bowl. You’ve been quite the busy one with that paint brush of yours. Good for you!! Stay in the place you love so much and before you know the raging storm will be behind you. Much love to you!! xo

    • Hi Amy, I appreciate hearing what you received from the painting and poem. Thank you for taking the time to articulate it. It’s interesting that you captured the essence of how I felt and I am standing with the intention to stay in the place I love so much while letting a form of storm move past me. It’s not always the easiest journey. Peace and love back to you!

    • Hi Liza, Thank you so much! I have some paintings available through SaatchiArt in print form. It’s not something I do a lot of. This painting isn’t posted on that venue yet but will be down the road. If you might be interested let me know and I can contact you once it’s up.
