SOLD “Tuesday Morning” 8″ x 10″ oil on canvas
What would the summer be without capturing at least one boat scene? This painting brought me back to a marina in Bordentown, NJ.
It was a beautiful, sunny Tuesday morning and I had the pleasure of going with another plein air artist to enjoy this historic towns small marina. The marina rests along Crosswicks Creek and there’s always a nice cluster of boats in different shapes to enjoy.
After walking around a bit my friend and I set up along the rocky shore that reached under some foliage so we had plenty of shade. What we didn’t account for was the tide rolling in – which it did during the course of our visit. Fortunately, we had just enough time to capture what we each needed before out easels became submerged and we found an alternate way back to the car.
Time to close out the summer – wonderful painting that brings the casual feel to this boating scene. Love this one Catherine.
