“Crosswicks Home” 10″ x 8″ oil on canvas SOLD
Visiting the lovely little village of Crosswicks again this year in preparation for some plein air painting on their Annual Heritage Day in October. I enjoyed this so much last year and having the opportunity to capture part of the village on canvas again this year is a pleasure.
This small painting I actually worked from a photograph I took on a recent visit. I loved the side view of this little home with the porch, garage and barn in the rear. It felt so welcoming. I think the drive way heading in is part of that invitational message.
Just a joy to paint this and to work with all these beautiful colors. I hope to have more to share from this years outings over the next couple of months.

This is wonderful Catherine filled with summer warmth – I can see why you like the area and was drawn to paint the scene.
It is a nice cheerful scene, isn’t it? 🙂
