As a person who loves color, fall can’t be anything less than one of my favorite seasons.  This was painted one afternoon about 2 weeks ago at a local nature preserve.  Huddled in the woods near a small lake I was drawn to the rich glow of color in the afternoon light.

I didn’t plan on using such bright color but this is what evolved and I think captured the experience my eyes and heart were part of.

The painting was completed using a wide variety of colors and a combination of both palette knife and brush.
