“Fall Transitions”

“Fall Transitions” 11″ x 14″ Oil on board – SOLD

Capturing the fall color is an exciting adventure. As a person who loves color I am particularly drawn to this time of year.  This scene was painted about a week ago along the D&R canal near Baker’s Basin in Princeton, NJ. Part of  my practice continues to include developing texture in the piece.

At this point I am sitting with the painting and reflecting on it. Some fellow artists have made a few suggestions which I appreciate and am considering.  Sometimes I just need to let the piece rest “as is”.  I’m not moved to do anything yet so time will tell with regard to modifications.
