I love nature and flowers. It’s always a treat to visit Sayen Garden’s in Hamilton, NJ because there’s always something special to appreciate. It’s so much fun to plein air paint at this location.
This painting was completed earlier in the season when the Azalea’s were in full bloom. This cozy little spot just burst with color. I loved that in combination with the split rail fence and Greek inspired bench.
The painting has a lot of visible brushstrokes and texture with areas of thicker applications of paint.
Please contact me if you are interested in this painting. It’s currently on display.

Absolutely beautiful work!!
Thank you so much!
Gorgeous piece Catherine!! It’s a place that has me curious and wanting to wander down the path.
Thank you…. This garden is really nice and does have so many paths that do inspire curiosity. I think nature in general has a way of doing that. So fortunate to get to explore that as an artist. I see that in your work.
Outstanding work, Catherine. Just gorgeous!!! Wishing I could just slip into your painting and really be there. Just breathtaking! ❤
Hi Amy, Thank you for the compliment!
