“Bursting Azalea’s”

Sayen Bursting Azaela's II_4522C“Bursting Azalea’s”   11″x 14″ oil on canvas

I love nature and flowers. It’s always a treat to visit Sayen Garden’s in Hamilton, NJ because there’s always something special to appreciate. It’s so much fun to plein air paint at this location.

This painting was completed earlier in the season when the  Azalea’s were in full bloom. This cozy little spot just burst with color. I loved that in combination with the split rail fence and Greek inspired bench.

The painting has a lot of visible brushstrokes and texture with areas of thicker applications of paint.

    • Thank you…. This garden is really nice and does have so many paths that do inspire curiosity. I think nature in general has a way of doing that. So fortunate to get to explore that as an artist. I see that in your work.
