Although winter may be barren and dormant it’s not lacking in color to my eyes.
I’ve been intrigued by a clearing I pass by rather frequently. It’s part of a land preserve. Last week I ventured out and stopped at the location to capture 3 separate vantage points on canvas. This is the third in the series. Each day was different in weather, light and experience. That’s one of the inspiring aspects of plein-air painting for me.
This painting was painted on a 11″ x 14″ canvas in oils.
