“The Lighthouse“

Fresh from the studio this is a study from a photograph my sister took of a lighthouse in Michigan.  I need to contact her again for the name of it.  It’s a beautiful photograph and I was inspired to make an attempt at an interpretation of my own on canvas.  The cloud formations and accents of red in the physical lighthouse and leaning fence I found intriguing.

This was painted on an 14″ x 18″ canvas in oils.
