“Wings of Color and Magic”  24.5″ x 12.5″ Oil on canvas 

This colorful composite painting was inspired by the butterfly!

I was drawn to their beautiful color and varied delicate patterns.  The piece started as simple small individual paintings that I then decided to put together to create a larger expression. 

The artwork was a labor rich work of love. Adding in other imagery of nature was done to create an effect of being out in nature.  This is a hearty painting with a lot of beautiful detail and layers of color.  The painting is framed in a black float frame which works really well with the piece.
