Painted “en plein air” last week along the Lenape Trail in Plainsboro, NJ. Alongside the trail there is a pond which initially I had hoped to capture. However in scouting around the area I noticed this arrangement of mature trees that had a peacefulness to them that resonated with me.
The canvas is a bit larger than what I normally bring. In fact this time I brought my French Easel which I tend to leave home but it’s what could accommodate the larger canvas. At times I can think its a little troublesome to set up but all went well and I am happy with the final outcome of the painting.
