This is a plein air oil painting done at a recent “paint out” on the grounds of the Morven Museum in Princeton, NJ. It was a fun event, sponsored by the Princeton Arts Council. To be honest it was an overcast day but I liked that aspect and the subtly of the light. There were so many great little spots of interest. Stone paths, unique sculptures, archways and walls I could have meandered all day. I chose this side view of the front entrance to the museum. I tend to like pathways and I was struck by the detail and elegance. The winding Wisteria and other bits of vibrant color also captured my attention and interest.
